The vision of the Belong Network is a more integrated, less divided society. Our members span local government, civil society and the business sector. All share a common goal – to bring people together across difference and build stronger, more resilient communities. Belong exists to connect, support and mobilise all those working to achieve this – developing good practice, influencing policy and building the evidence base on what makes a stronger society.

We are pleased to announce that Belong has been commissioned by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), in partnership with the Local Government Association (LGA) to write new national guidance and develop training aimed at supporting community cohesion.
Over the last six months the Belong Network has been holding ‘honest conversations’ with some Tamworth residents, community groups and workers with different agencies.
We are proud to have been a founding member of the Belong Network. Our partnership with Belong has helped Manchester to connect with and learn from others whilst at the same time enabled us to better understand and connect with each other across the city. The ongoing dialogue and forums to discuss complex and live issues and the access to resources including training for practitioners and elected members have helped us to shape our first social cohesion strategy in Manchester. We really value their knowledge, expertise and support.
